Equipment
- 1 Dutch Oven – or medium heavy bottomed stock pot
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Neutral Oil – I prefer Clarified Butter or Avocado Oil
- 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
- 2 each Chicken Breasts (cooked and cubed) – or dark meat if you prefer
- 1 cup Chicken Broth – homemade chicken stock is better
- 5 each Green Onions – with tops, sliced
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 Stalks Celery – sliced
- 1 8 oz can Water Chestnuts – drained and sliced
- 3 medium Carrots – thinly sliced
- 4 cups Cabbage – thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp Sliced Almonds
Instructions
- Heat Dutch over over medium-high heat.
- Add oil and heat.
- Add chicken, green onions, celery, carrots and cabbage. Cook on medium high 3 to 4 minutes.
- Dissolve cornstarch in broth and add to chicken and vegetables.
- Add soy sauce and stir.
- Add water chestnuts and sliced almonds and heat through.
